Individual Therapy

Though my specialty is couples, sometimes a couple needs some individual work first. I am happy to do individual work on these same issues. Sometimes it’s about me before it can be about we. Anything stated on this site about couples also goes for the individual.

Individual Therapy

Life is full of transitions. Some are bigger than others, but when you’re in the middle of a major shift it can throw you off balance. Moving from one role to another can feel jarring and like there is no solid ground, even if it’s a positive change. Whether it’s natural aging, family transitions like having a baby or empty nesting, or illness, these shifts take a lot of energy and focus. They can overwhelm you create serious problems such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and feeling like you’ve lost yourself. Add to this, the cultural expectation that you can handle these seemingly ordinary changes on your own and you have a recipe for shame, overwhelm, and feeling like you’re failing.

Couples Counseling

Do you feel like your relationship is at a standstill? Are you and your partner stuck in the same argument loop every night? Do you feel like you and your partner are drifting away? Do you desire more intimacy between you and your partner? All things can be improved, changed and bettered, with just a little support, no matter how big or small. With couples therapy, you’ll learn how to communicate your feelings and needs, and get what you want out of your relationship.

First Responders

First responders are the first line of defense when tragedies occur in the lives of the communities they serve.

This unique culture benefits from culturally competent therapeutic interventions. The team at 363 therapy has built a bridge of trust with the first responder community over years of dedicated work and offers custom tailored care to match this uniuqe population. Our counselors break down the common barriers that prevent these heroes from achieving their healing goals.

According to a 2018 supplemental research bulletin from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Disaster Technical Assistance Center, depression and PTSD affect approximately 30% of first responders. In addition, 37% of fire and emergency medical services professionals have contemplated suicide, which is nearly 10 times the rate of American adults in general. In fact, in the United States, more firefighters die from suicide than from fires

Counseling for Anxiety

When it comes to treating anxiety disorders, research shows that therapy is usually the most effective option. That’s because anxiety therapy – as opposed to anxiety medication – treats more than just symptoms to the problem. Therapy can help to uncover the underlying causes of your worries and fears, learn how to relax, look at situations in a new, less frightening way, and develop better coping mechanisms and problem-solving skills.

Clinical Supervision

Being a cancer survivor myself, I know intimately what feelings come up when dealing with a serious illness. It can affect all areas of your life and will bring up a lot of questions. Having somewhere safe to manage these complicated feelings can go a long way in making your treatment and recovery much less isolating and painful for you. Again, my specialty is couple’s issues but I also have a real interest in how illness affects an individual and the couple sexually.

Sex Therapy

Sexual health is so important to your quality of life as an individual as well as life as a couple. It can be really frightening when your sex drive or sexual connection starts to fade for whatever reason. Unfortunately, this is also something that our culture isn’t fully open about, which can make this problem more isolating than it has to be. I (really enjoy) work(ing) with couples on these issues and am always so pleased to create an open, supportive, honest environment to get at the root of the problem and bring your sexy back!

Telehealth

Telehealth allows us to provide counseling and therapy to our clients via live video conferencing. This can be done anywhere you have a computer or smartphone. Telehealth appointments can be very beneficial if getting to a traditional in-person appointment is not convenient, or you simply just don’t want to. Our telehealth solution allows you to schedule an appointment directly online and have the entire therapy session take place digitally.

Therapeutic Knitting

Don’t adjust your screen. You read that right. It’s a thing, and it’s a passion of mine. I offer therapeutic knitting groups to teach you an awesome creative and portable coping skill!
